Everytime i take a screenshot, it will auto dump it into a file (bmp / jpeg / whatever). So i can just keep pressing the button and not have to worry about importing it into an application and saving it each time ?
Thanks
I remembered (by some miracle, my memory sucks) a utility I used to use years ago called "Screen Thief" - a quick search turned up this which I think is the most recent incarnation.
The quicksave option it mentions might be what you are after?

yeah fraps is a good one and it will also do 640x480 video's on the free version 1024x768 if you pay for it.
doesn't affect my computer when capturing vids, it slows the game its capturing down to 30fps but thats all I see, computer runs fine otherwise. I am running the 1.9c version before they added more instructions to it.
Oooh, I didn't even think of Fraps - I bought that for capturing movies from 3D-acclerated games so I just assumed it only works in (full screen) 3D mode
And I got the email from the author offering the free 2.0 upgrade recently too, d'oh!

is it worth the upgrade and buying it, what extra features do you get apart from the 1024x768 video capture?
TBH that's precisely the reason I bought it - I played with the trial version and wanted to record a movie in Asheron's Call, but I played that at (actually slightly higher than) 1024x768.Originally Posted by Grey M@a
Never really used it for screenies simply because practically every game seems to have that built in these days anyway.
As for being worth it, the money is a trivial amount and it's a very cool utility - I don't begrudge paying the author of such tools such an amount, especially when you get free upgrades afterwards.
(Even better when you do the conversion from USD to UKP)
