    Spyware Issues

On one of the computers in the household I have a problem with a spayware / virus issue. Its one of these that everytime I go on a website it jumps across to some random website.

I've looked for the issue on the web and can pickup the problem but can't find a way to fix it thats simple enough to sort the issue?

Anyone know some good software / way of fixing the issue?

    Cheers
    Ant

    Re: Spyware Issues

I use the following ones at work

    1) MalwareBytes
    2) ComboFix

These generally get most infections, but *please* be careful with ComboFix, it is entirely capable of destroying a computer if used incorrectly and you may need to uninstall your anti-virus program if it doesn't disable properly in Safe Mode.

    +1 Lucio.
I've also had success with SuperAntiSpyware.

Try to keep a note when it starts to apply itself.

Also check your Task Manager (ctrl + alt+ del) for anything that look suspicious or taking up a lot of cpu cycles.

    Re: Spyware Issues

I'm going to have a go with the Malwarebytes. Lets see if this gets me anywhere.

    Re: Spyware Issues

    also reccommend combofix.

    make sure you update malwarebytes.
then start pc in safe mode and run full scan.
for the nastier infections, combofix will get them
