Post Paypal - any pros out there?

I'm going to be deliberately vague, but hopefully will be enough information to get the idea across...

Is there any way that I can setup a paypal payment scheme such that:
    a. User A makes a transfer to User B and I take a slice (preferably static).

The context is that I'm bringing both users together, and so take some money for providing this service.

Alternatives that I can think of would be either:
    b. User A makes 2 payments, 1 to User B, one to me.
    c. User A makes 1 payment to me, I then make a payment to User B

However I would prefer the 'slice' option if possible. I imagine that option c would have some extra business/legal complications (as well as the coding/automation side).

    Thoughts?

I don't get one you (or anybody else for that matter) would want to do what you suggest. Afterall you already have a middleman in Paypal who will take a slice of the transfer.

Taking commission? Not seen any service that offers that myself.

Even ebay (who own paypal) don't do it that way - you pay ebay separately from paypal funds.
It would be nice if ebay took their fees direct from the buyers payment, instead of invoicing separately.

The guy wanted similar a while back, you could ask him how he implemented it?

Aha, but if I explain everything then someone will come in and beat me to my plan

Yeh, Paypal take some commission, but I want wsome too... am trying to weigh up 2 payments or me forwarding the amount to user B minus my commission.

Question is how easy it would be to automate the system of forwarding the money whilst taking the commission.. or whether just doing 2 payments is best (though not ideal for User A).

    Hmmm...

    [e!]

Just come across this, just need to work out how to implement it

Nothing uniqie about your plan, you just want to take a commission yourself automatically.

AFAIK you can't automate sending money with paypal easily, but you can do mass-payments:
    https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/websc...nefits-outside
which is basically a spreadsheet of email addresses and amounts sent to paypal.

So take User A's money (the buyers), then later do a batch payment to the User B's (the sellers) minus your commission.
