I tried linux on my pc but found out most of them dont support processors with i686 architecture so i was pretty much stuff with my amd phenom 9500 lol, ones that were compatible though like fedora & arch linux didnt work at all and i kept having errors. Ubuntu 11.04 seems to be the most user friendly & reliable distro though as it runs perfectly well on my acer netbook .

Erm you did download the x86 version of the distros you tried right? It looks like a Phenom 9500 supports 64bit anyway though?

Very confused as to why you had troubles with a 9500 tbh!

I can recommend OpenSuse 11.4 or the brand new one OpenSuse 12.1 which comes out in a few days. At the moment I am testing the 12.1 RC2 and it's great. Stable and fast.
