I'm getting a tad cheesed off with MSE, and will prolly go back to AVG. I gave it several months and I've had it crash on 4 occasions, allow 2 viruses thru (when Sally was on the PC, I'd never have opened the attachments), and has made my boot time double. I also *feel* it doesn't like Chrome, but without anything positive to report.

There is no 100% effective AV system.....end of March begining of April we had an outbreak in our network (PCs on Mcafee VSE8.7, back end on Sophos). None of the systems detected the nasty....3 full days to find and upload source files to McAfee to issue an Extra.DAT to clean the infection....

I'm on KIS2011 atm, but will switch to MSE + MBAM as the price for Kaspersky products are minimum of £15-£18/3 licenses/year

Avast atm for me, seen avg get it's self stuck in loops and crazy resource usage, and MSE to me tends to be slow, each to their own in the end though

agree with the above, get an mbam license (for realtime protection) for all the nasty malware about atm

Eset Smart Security here, never had a problem with it and its great.

A free alternative would be to pick up MS Security Essentials and Malwarebytes though.

MSE for me, never gets in the way, but to be honest, other than a couple of minor viruses it caught, it's not had to do much work!
