Making XP installable from a USB memory stick

I know this is doable, but anyone know how to do it ?

Have been handed a Netbook from a work colleague that their teenage daughter has broken the XP install, and typically they don't have any recovery CD's for it. I have an OEM XP Home install CD so thats no problem.

Have tried all sorts to try and recover the blighter but no use at all from the supplied recovery partition.

Remove the HDD, format it as FST32, make it bootable and ensure smartdrv is on it, copy the i386 folder to the hard drive, reinsert the HDD into the drive, run smartdrv, then run winnt.

At some point, I can't recall exactly when, either XP Setup will prompt you to convert the filesystem to NTFS, or you can do it after installation with "convert c: /fs:ntfs"

Of course, acquiring a USB CD drive is a bit easier.
