Problem with non-changing wallpapers in Win7

Got a slight problem here and I wonder if anybody has any ideas as to what might have gone wrong....

I upgraded the hard drives a little while back and reinstalled from scratch. Everything is hunky dory, except that the wallpaper slide show function doesn't work. Everything appears as normal; I can go in and select a group of pictures, adjust the interval and such, but the desktop background never changes.

Are there any other setting which govern whether or not the slide show works? Any ideas as to how this can be fixed?

In the power options there is a setting which pauses the slide show if you've got a laptop and you're running on battery.

Control panel > Power options > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings > Desktop background settings.

Thanks a lot mate, I wasn't aware of that particular setting! Although this isn't a laptop and the chosen power saving profile is "High Performance", it was set to "Paused" for some reason. Changed it and all is good once again. Much obliged to ya.
