Is there a program which can list all installed programs?

I've just bought an SSD (the crucial one that's on offer at the mo) and plan to move install win7 on it and use my current HD as a data drive. Over time, I've installed various programs, and I want to make sure I reinstall all (or nearly) all of them when I do a fresh WIN7 install on the SSD.

Is there a program which will list all the installed programs I have and dump it into an excel or word file (ideally with a description of each prog so I can decide which ones I actually need)?
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

    Powershell:

    gwmi win32_product | select name

Depends on your definition of "installed" though.

One of the system information apps does that. Only I can't remember what it's called.

Also, one of the big download sites does a program update checking application (it compares the version you have with versions other people have who run the same checking app). Only I can't remember what that's called either.

    Oh hang on,

Yeah I can recommend belarc. It'll also give you the product keys you've used for programs in case you've forgotten them or lost the box or whatever and a load of other information as well.
