Downlaod gets stuck

I am new to this site
On every browser (IE,Opera,Chrome,Firefox) my download gets stuck at certain percentage. It download files around 1 or 10 MB but when I want to download 300MB file ti just gets stuck at 30% or so.

Does your internet connection drop a lot?

You could try a download manager. I've not used one myself in years but it used to help when I had similar problems.

No I had the exact same net connection on my old comp and it worked

Right what OS you using?
Windows reserves a silly amount of network bandwidth for 'Windows update', 20% I think it was. You can disable this.

Also try and select SACK (Selective Acknowledge), important for size large TCP windows.


ALSO increase the max HTML connections, meaning better download speeds.

You can download Auslogics Boostspeed to automatically optimise these settings if you are not familiar with changing registry settings

That sounds like a weird problem, try using a download manager and let us know what happens with that?

If you have another computer to try it on, try that. If the same thing happens, it's your ISP caching the download and they've got it wrong. Every time you try again, you are getting the screwed download from their cache.
Not much you can do but wait.
