Some apps going downhill?

Is it just me or are loads of apps going downhill?

Firefox - It seems everytime i open it there is an update it installed without me telling it to and then it wants to disable all my addons and stuff

Zonealarm - The latest update made it very childish. The popup boxes now dont show where anything is going or the name of the EXE or anything. and there is even a "Pc Tune up".

If it keeps getting like this im switching to Chrome and some other firewall

Not really, IMO.

Firefox: you presumably have it set to auto-update? Mine only updated this evening when I told it to do so.

ZoneAlarm: why do you need this?
