    XPSP2 RC2 released to testers

just got my nice email today

    Dear Peter,

We are pleased to announce the availability of Release Candidate 2 of Windows XP Service Pack 2. Thanks in part to the participants of the beta program we have made significant changes in RC2. We ask that you please take some time to install and evaluate this build for any issues. Please see below for CD shipment information. To better emulate actual customer scenarios for the released SP2 we ask that you uninstall previous versions of the beta before installing RC2.

Installed it and it seems to be good so far, divX issue has gone, got to test to see if they fixed the issue with panda antivirus yet but if so then it looks like it should be for general release soon =) then y'all can benefit from its many cool updates such as the new wireless networking wizards etc - and for those who still use IE6 its new popup blocker

few things from memory are: improved windows firewall, popup blocking, plenty of security fixes ofc, improved wireless networking support, a new 'security center' to make sure your pc is secure. these are just the obvious changed that i can see but ive been using the various builds for a few months now so any changes are just normal to me now =)
