help re Splwow64.exe and Varsari

I have a piece of software that will not print and spits out a series of error messages whenever it tries to do so. They all seem to involve splwow64.exe. It isn't running until the program launches it, so it's not the case that another programme is already using it or anything like that.

Can anyone shed any light on what I might be able to do to rectify this? (Software is Varsari 2.1 for viewing Autodesk Revit models.)

Sounds like a driver issue to me... are you trying to print dwgs or something?

What printer do you have? The process is called when a 32bit app needs to print (or make use of the print spooler) on a 64bit OS.

yes trying to print out drawings from a revit model. printer is a Xerox machine (in the office) everything else works fine with it, it is literally just Vasari that has a hissy fit. Tried reinstalling it etc, no joy. Our IT guys had a quick look and they're stumped too. If it was driver you'd expect it to affect more than just one program right?

Not necessarily, it depends on the features that are used by Vasari. Is your driver PCL (and if so which version) or postscript?

+1 for drivers here.

Been banging my head against the wall with Xerox drivers recently......their support is pretty useless as well.

They normally have PCL5 and PCL6 drivers available...check what you have and try the other type and/or shift through various versions.
