I paid for mine and thats both win2k and xp pro
You say for the home edition - will it be release for professional too?Microsoft is going to release SP2 from August and for Home Edition will be download at 70MB, for Pro Edition will be 90MB (free download) - read this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/3889353.stm -- so it will soon be coming up

when SP1 came out i ordered about 5 copies from the MS website, these come in very handy when friends and family ask you to sort there PC's out as you can give them a copy. i will do the same when they come alive on the MS web site....
There will be crack to put SP2 on a 'bad' copy of XP within days!
And there will be a Windown XP with SP2 built in... floating around within days also!
thing is the majority who have the copied versions have the corp editiion so they will still get the update and it won't even report back due to the conditions of the corp edition, personally you should just go on ebay and get xp pro for 40 quid newOriginally Posted by mgh0
