    Having trouble with a new windows install!

    Im trying to do a new install of windows on a empty hard drive but when i am on the bios screen and it says press any key to install from cd-rom it wont let me press and keys on the keyboard! Now it lets me press del to access the setup screen at the start but after that i cant press anything!! can anybody shed any light on the subject???

    If your using a wireless or USB based keyboard try using a PS2 one as this has thrown a few people I know in the past

    Yes i am using a wirless keyboard but i will trying a PS2 one and see what happens from there. just seems strange that it works fine for everything else except when i try to do that.

    Yeah, pretty obvious, try another keyboard as suggested and if in future you use USB you can set it to be controlled from the OS or the BIOS i always have it set to BIOS otherwise you run into similar issues that you're describing, if as you've suggested you will you use a PS2 keyboard then that's guarenteed really, the proven choice
