Went to check for Windows updates this evening as I hadn't for a while, and got this message - raised a chuckle from me!

It's updating the WU client. The last one was released ages ago. You really should turn auto updates on

Was on limited bandwidth due to rented flat - had to tether my mobile, so didn't want Windows gobbling up all my data and costing loads! All sorted now though. Luuuuverly broadband........!

I have been getting that come up for the last few days on machines which are pretty up to date.

I'm getting a few updates as well these past few weeks. The updates have been random and at times I feel frustrated when they happen, especially when I'm in a hurry. I always forget about turning it off though. I guess I'll be turning this off now since my PC just updated 3 days ago again.
