    Some site feedback :)

I've just re-done Devilbod.co.uk and was looking for a bit of feed back, if you've got the time

I know the layout is a bit funny, but trying to get the page to work on all resolutions without the fuss scroll bars is a bit of a pain.

Also I've put the preloader in because I'm probably going to end up with more grapihics on the site in general, if its a bad idea or you dont like it then say because I'm still unsure about keeping it for the site.

Other than that do the 3D applets work, and is it ok on the various different browsers peeps use?

    Ta!

I know it's early and I'm still bleary eyed, but I can't read a bloody thing - the font is just too small!

I can read it fine. It could just benefit from being able to stand out a bit more

Is it me or is my graphics card anti-aliasing those 3D applets?

    Adding to the above comments
    - you are using around 30 table cells for the top and left areas. This could be completely removed and laid out in CSS to make it more compliant, the HTML would be a lot smaller as well. Even if you remain with tables there is no need for that number of cells
    - my cursor on your front page turns to a crosshair. I'm not sure if this is intentional but if so it's a pointless feature as it adds nothing to the user experience
    - I like the 3D plugin, it even worked in Firefox so well done on that front

I can't see the "about me" bit at the bottom right unless I press F11. Maybe a scroll bar would be a good idea.

I like the background fading thing, but either the background or the text is too dark, because at the left, it's very difficult to read the black text on the dark background. Maybe instead of fading it to completely black, fade until grey.

Cheers guys, I'll have a go at sorting out the font, I might re-work the back ground and titles as well because I'm still not 100% happy with it myself.

Sorry about the cursor Az was just messing around with the css just to see what happened, never used it before .

Howard - yup its got AA built in - very, VERY cool program called Wirefusion you can do allsorts with it, got it off 3DWorld mag's cover disk and the tutorial they had in the mag was a 3d monitor that plays a video with a 3d remote.

Much better, I would change the colour of the men options though as they're a bit hard to read. Either change the font or make them darker

    Overall it's a lot better

I think it's better - much lighter etc and easier to read the text. You might do well by separating the links at the left from the rest of the page. I don't know how though - maybe just a line of something....

Also, I still need to press F11 to see the bottom set of links - a scroll bar would be useful

I'm not sure - I might just be missing it, but is there a link to get back to the start page? Talking about your home page, I think you need some information to tell the user what the site is about. I think as it is now, people have to figure it out by going through the site. If people don't know if they've come to the right place, they don't like to search through it to find out - they might leave. If your worried about visitor count, or think it's a good idea (i do), you need site info. News is good for returing visitors, info is to get people to look 1st time .

I'm going to work out a few ideas on the menu because it clearly doesnt fit, the home link was a bit obscure, the devilbod at the top but I'll fix that when I get a bit of time to do the menu. Tempting the idea of doing a browser res detect type thing (if it can by done) on the loading page to offer the lower resolution more space (740x420) and glossing out the higher resolution (1024x768).

Cheers again though, really appreciate it

Finished it ajbrun - should now run of any resolution also put a redirect that works out which res you running (hopefully this works )
Also added a whole load more to the site, not unless there are some glaring mistakes or bad ideas I think Ive done for the time being .
