I don't think there's any expectation for them to use it to be honest. There's a couple of new enterprise features, but overall I gather that the expectation is for Windows 7 to continue to sell well up until Windows 9. Some businesses will make the move, but overall Windows 8 seems to be aimed to the consumer space, with tablets, ultrabooks and touch-screen AiO PCs taking centre-stage.

They're adding more settings to Metro all the time. Consumer Preview to Release Preview saw quite a large number of settings moved over, which should increase further towards RTM. As a neat tip though, if you want to access a specific setting it's much quicker to search for it. Just type the name on the start screen and the search box will come up. Select 'Settings' in the right-hand column.

I tried it and i didn't like, the metro interface put me off straight away. I did spend some time on it, thinking i'd get use to it but it weren't happening. As other have mentioned, its best suited for the mobile market, on phone and tablets. I may have a mess around with again but I'm happy with windows 7, its perfect for me and wont be upgrade to Win 8 at all.

I think if you have a mouse then stick to windows 7 at the moment, ms should have a choice of two GUIs touch friendly and normal.

"friendly and normal"? What's so "not normal" about Metro? Granted Windows 8 is much more keyboard friendly than 7 but it still works perfectly well with a mouse. Many people say they won't upgrade, they'll just be doing the same thing that people with XP did when Vista came out. Support will die out for 7 and all new software will be made for Windows 8. Windows 8 is also extremely fast, having to spend a few seconds with the Metro interface each day (maybe, you might be able to boot to the desktop) is a silly reason not to use Windows 8.

Is this a joke? Or have you really not seen Windows 8 in operation?
