Seti is dead, long live Setiboinc!

Well for those still doing what is now termed 'classic' seti@home, it's time to get in on the ground floor of the new age of Seti, that is Boinc!

I've been a Boinc beta tester for a while, but now, (today) it's gone live & it's your chance to sign up & get Hexus up there on the leaderboard.

As far as I can tell you have to migrate your account to the new system by clicking the relavant link & they'll send you a new userid.

Server seems to be a bit overloaded at the mo, cant submit any results.

maybe try right-clicking on the seti@home part under 'projects, and click 'update now'... seems to do something which actually updates the credits

Lo Guys. We over at TeamPhoenixRising have been doing BOINC for a while. It is not totally active yet and is still in the beta stage. So any unit produced now may be wiped once the project goes Live.

Just a small note on credit. It may take a while to get it since a unit is sent to 3 different pcs and the credit worked out from the three results. Once all 3 results are returned then credit is given

are all the connection probs sorted with boinc yet? i'm still crunching seti classic but it won't connect to server

Yeah - I recently formatted and reinstalled. popped along to the BOINC website to see they are having shedloads of issues with hardware dying and thus are not allowing downloads.

Any timeframe guesses as to how long we are going to have to wait ?
