v7 - How do I get my GPU working?

I'm on the rebuild path for my home machine and stage 1 is complete.
However this is the first time I've attempted to use FaH v7 and I cannot get it to select my shiney new gfx card (HD 7850).

The first slot is occupied by the SNP client. I tried to add a second slot for an auto detected GPU (set to -1) but it says I've already got it set.

I'll get the exact details of the messages later but does anyone have initial thoughts?

An easy problem to fix
Download the GPUs.txt file from https://fah-web.stanford.edu/file-re...ublic/GPUs.txt
put the GPUs.txt file to the client's run directory the run directory is also called the data directory after installing the file restart your client and make sure that the gpu slot is set up.

The way they can add support in for new cards is alot better now than it used to be, in the past you had to wait for a new client to come out, now you can simply update a text file with the gpu's info, you can even add in a value yourself if your card is very new and you can't wait for them to update the text file

That sorted it perfectly.
You're right about the client, I'm still running v6 at work so that might be worth a change and see exactly what my ancient Quadro can achieve (pre-cuda).

It seems the HD 7850 is pushing 5445 at present which is ok I guess. The only problem is the PC is acting as a very effective dehumidifier and giving me headaches so I'm not going to be able to run it for long!

I expect the 7000 series will get better one a more optimised core comes out for it, not sure how long that will take though, as stanford seem a little slow with the updates for the openCL core, but considering they are spending alot of time getting the V7 client working right now I can forgive that as it is much better then the command line ones we were using before.
