    Windows 8 pro upgrade announced

Microsoft have announced the upgrade promotion for windows 8 much like they did with Windows 7, I don't think I'll bother with Windows 8 personally but for all those interested $39.99 seems reasonable for an upgrade. Expect it to translate to £39.99 for us in the UK though

Re: Windows 8 pro upgrade announced

Looking at Microsoft's site for this deal in the UK (£14.99) there is a major clause:

    Key Dates
You must purchase a qualifying Windows 7 PC between 2 June 2012 and 31 January 2013 to be eligible for this offer. The last day to register and order your Windows 8 upgrade is 28 February 2013.
This rules out a lot of people! Me included! As Windows 8 offers me no Must Have features I won't be upgrading from Windows 7 Pro if it costs me more than £50.

That £14.99 promotion is different to the one announced yesterday evening. Will have to wait and see what the price will finally be for the UK though.

Well I've tried all of the previews.
Provided it stays the same, will I be upgrading, even for £15? No...
