..do desktop jpegs use the same logo as the Mozilla Firefox shortcut ? Ruddy confusing at times - Ooop deleted it again..

dont know ,they do that on the machine im using now but not on my main rig ,aswell as the logo its also set to open them with firefox yet they still open with windows picture and fax viewer?!?

but if u want it to open in firefox.. you need to set it again manually.. and no more windows picture viewer !

Get rid of your annoyance by finding an image..
right click -> properties -> click change and pick the app you do want.

The one that gets me is why when i use theme xp all my ZIP files have no icon at all. I dont mind my jpegs having a little firfox thingy, looks better than the crappy microsoft icon for them.

you can perform the same operation to add an icon to files without current Icons..

right click -> properties -> change -> select the program from a list -> find winzip.. rar whatever.

May your zips have icons !

i am sure the installer probably asks if u want to associate the app in these ways...
