    Locked *.PDF file & Printing...

I’m using Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0
I have a *.pdf file that I want to print, but the print option is blanked out.
I noticed that in the “File, Document properties, Secuirty” menu of Acrobat Reader, “printing” is not allowed and neither are many other fields.

How do disable the security settings in a locked *.pdf file?

I really need to print this file.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

You go back to the source and ask whether it's possible and how much it costs to get an unrestricted version.

I'm fairly certain that any other answer would not be legal.

THERE ARE FREE PDF readers and writers. they will have the print option available.

Linux has "pdf2text" if I remember... this was a laugh to play with.
I don't understand how acrobat reader has the print option turned off. Since the free reader DOES have print.. try removing/reinstalling it.

    good luck

Given that the originator of the the file encrypted it for a good reason ( ie he owns the copyright to the file ) breaking that encryption would require software which is not legal. You'd also need a full blown copy of acrobat writer to unlock it , even if you did have the password.

You be better off taking screen prints.....
