Whats the point if MicroSpy are just going to stop and control what you can and can not have

You can turn it off but still what right do they have to take that control ??

If it was a totally free OS then i would not mind !! Next you will only be allowed to use Microsoft keyboards and mice !!!!!!!!!!

Re: Windows 8 to Tell Microsoft About Everything You Install?

There's a lot of logic behind what they've done with it.

I think that's the problem with these things - they think "this would be a good security device", and they plough on with it and only after a backlash appreciate how it's consequently a privacy risk.

For me, yes I would disable it, and yes I would prefer if it was opt-in, but ultimately there's no point in an opt-in security measure. All of the people who need it would never look at a settings screen to enable it.

    They're damned either way IMO.

I find what they are apparently planning, a streaming OS a lot more scary.

This is a good idea, however I do see people's worries. However, what programs you're using is hardly sensitive data.
