    How do you unassocate a file from a programme?

    I've just ripped a DVD that I was wanting to back up and somehow the .VOB files have been associated to Power DVD and now when I try and use DVD shrink on them I get an error message.

    I've tried uninstalling Power DVD but this had not done the trick, I've also tried associating them to DVD shrink but this does not work either, how do I get them back to just being plain .VOB files again?

    Cheers.

    In an explorer window go to tools > Folder options, then click the file types tab.

    Find the file type and click delete.

    I have no idea if that'll work, but it sounds about right doesn't it?
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Yep Kez thats 100%, as long as you don't want to do anything with .Vob files deleting the file extension command will resort it back to asking "open with" if you double click on it...
