    Many windows problems

    Even after 3 formats it still the same. I need help, and bad.

    Heres some screenshots of the problems:

    Pictures appear "Grayed" out in thumbnails mode.

    Things are supposdly downloading (lags my bro when he plays CS)

    The downloading is not being done by any program shown by netlimiter (kerio firewall says that its a win32 generic app downloading, all attempts to block it with kerio have failed)

    Task manager shows many tasks, and i have no idea what some of them do. I was wondering if some mgiht be viruses. AVG and Norton both show no infections.

    Also, by new Nildram 1000 dsl only downloads at 60kbps, the same as my BT 512 dsl.

    Please someone help me :cry:

    Youve done three complete reformats and reinstalled XP from scratch?
    And it still has the same problem?

    Do you get the problem immediatly on reinstall or is it only after you've installed programs/drivers/themes etc?

    If you get the problem immediatly after reinstall then it has to be some kind of driver/hardware problem (assuming youve got a clean XP disk).

    On second thoughts, possibly a few worms

    lserv.exe = Win32.Rbot.D
    "Win32.Rbot is an IRC controlled backdoor (or "bot") that can be used to gain unauthorized access to a victim's machine. It can also exhibit worm-like functionality by exploiting weak passwords on administrative shares and by exploiting many different software vulnerabilities, as well as backdoors created by other malware". See here

    mswin135.exe = Win32.Rbot.Sm
    similar thing. See here.

    These could be the cause the continual downloading problems your having.

    before, because i need to install my mobo drivers to connect to the net. Found the problem anyway, my bro was infected, and because kerio saw my local network as a trusted network it didn't block anything from his PC. All fixed now (made him format)

    Go to www.autopatcher.com and download at least the lite version.
    After installing OS, install SP1 if required and update your windows using Autopatcher.

    Then enable firewall, then plug the modem/connection in.

    That should stop you getting any nasty worms/viri.

    What XP disk are you using? A proper one?

    If your still having trouble removing it try Adaware and Spybot Search and Destroy (if you havent already). They might do the job

    Hmmm a few things spring to mind here.

    1.) your games lag when your downloading. - yes because you are using the net to download (assuming your playing online) and b.) if your downloads are writing to tracks far away from where CS installed then the disk will be jumping around a lot, similar to when the disk pages.

    2.) looking at all the skins and crap you've got in your images is it possible that a.) your machine is running low on memory, colours can reduce when your machine is taking a kicking

    3.) your video card / drivers have a problem
    It is Inevitable.....
