You cant upload files from only a HTML page, you need a serverside language like PHP or ASP.
It *might* beable to be done with javascript, but i dont know on that, you'll have to wait for beeeeenster

SSI has nothing to do with uploading files. webDAV does tho:

    http://www.webdav.org/

Depends on what server you are using tho...

You can upload files over HTTP using ASP I know for sure, and I assume you can do it with PHP or Perl. What languages does your server support?

If http://overclockersvortex.co.uk/ is the site in question, you evidently don't have the ability to upgrade the server to webDAV.

As far as I can tell, you're using the £8.99 business package from oneandone.co.uk, and, as they say in the "more info" section, you have PHP3, PHP4 & 'own CGI programming' support. CGI might not mean Perl, however, but either way, you can use PHP to upoad files.

With regard to using Javascript to upload files, it can't be done. One might find servers that have built-in upload functionality through an HTML form, but I don't know of any - webDAV might be one such server, but obviously, this is not a viable option for you.

PS: I posted this before I saw the above 11:56am post. Teach me to refresh before posting.

If oneandone.co.uk suits your needs, don't cancel. As evidenced by the 10:56am (11:56am? My bad. Probably 9:56am GMT) post, you do have Perl support. Perl would probably be the easiest, as there are many ready-made Perl upload scripts to be found, and they would be fairly easy to configure. Ready-made PHP upload scripts, I'm not sure of, though I'm certain it's possible to upload files with it. Agent would know more about that, though.
