    Thumbs up Directory Opus *light*

Just as a heads up for those of you who've heard of Directory Opus - they now do a cheaper 'light' version which has most of the big features of the app proper at a much reduced price. I know some of you have said that it was pricey and I think they've listened to their users.

I only un-installed the trial version the other day. Although I liked it, I could not justify paying £60 for it.

It's 44 quid but yeah I hear you. If you do want the 'big' version then look out for their sales - that's how I got my personal copies.

    Re: Directory Opus *light*

It is £60 if you include the SSH/SFTP functions (and another £6 for the portable USB stick facilities) but that includes a laptop licence as well, so licenced to install on two machines.

The ftp/sftp facilities are very good, I use it for uploading to a remote linux server, and while the same can be achieved using putty (which the code is based on) using Opus is just do much easier!

My trial version ends in a couple of weeks, but I think I will be buying it.

    Re: Directory Opus *light*

    I bought it

I found a 10% discount code, and then bought the pro version (two licences) and the killer app for me, secure ftp using ssh. (I use sftp with putty, but this is just that bit easier! ) and for an extra 10$AU the USB export licence.

Very good program, I I have only scratched at some of the capabilities (like the sync functions)

Been using this for years and I honestly feel it's worth the price tag, made my life so much easier with file management etc.

    Re: Directory Opus *light*

Hmm the deal doesn't actually seem that good to get the light version, $5AUD less than per licence (as standard pro includes a portable for $35 a licence) for less functionality?

Very nice program with many features, especially listing the size of folders.
