I just got the wife a kobo glo which is similar to the new Kindle paper white or book glowlight.
Although I know they don't handle pdfs well I didn't think it would be that bad. It could be the way the kobo handles them I don't know as I haven't had the use of others for that purpose.
To get around the problem I wondered if there is any program which can take a pdf and chop it up into sections. That is it takes an a4 page and cuts it into three so that way you can view it in landscape and not have to zoom in.
I have tried another program called briss which auto detects the margins for removal but the pdf really need chopping into thirds .
I tried exporting to html in acrobat and converting to epub calibre but it didn't come out well and its not a complex pdf with multiple columns.
also can anyone recommend something to create ebooks for ereaders so if I want to make my own I can easily make one from text.
