About LinkBacks
An extremely useful feature of Firefox is the quick search capability. By entering a keyword and something to search for, you can quickly access all sorts of sites with search criteria already entered.
I find this a great quick and easy way of looking up postcodes on Multimap, films up on IMDB and anything on Wikipedia. For example I can simply type Multimap SW1 1AA or IMDB The Matrix in the URL bar to go straight to the relevant pages.
There's a full description of how to set these up at http://devedge.netscape.com/viewsource/2002/bookmarks/ but if you just want to get started, right click some of the links below and select Bookmark this Link and place in in the Quick Searches folder. Next browse to the new bookmark using the bookmarks menu, select properties and set up a keyword, for example IMDB for IMDB and Multimap for Multimap postcode searches. Please add any extras you feel useful and I'll update the thread.
