Browser Softwae - Freezing and lagging?

Only an hour ago something has changed. Chrome and Explorer are both infuriating laggying, freeezing and all round acting as if they are running on 30% of the resources they require..

Uninstalling/installing has no effect, no change has been made to the computer and I am dumbfounded over what could effect both browsers!

I am on Windows 7, on a high end laptop, and as I said, nothing was wrong an hour ago...

Any ideas?

edit; Came on here after it started working fine for 5-10 mins, but now its back being desperately sluggish!

Excuse the typing, posted it effectively blind as its still having issues! BTW system usage seems fine, and all plugins have been disabled!

Have you recently updated flash player or something.

Sometimes that might do it.

Uninstalling flash seems to have sorted it, cheers guys! Will see what happens when I am forced to install it...
