    Watching videos on second screen

For some reason, when I try to watch videos on my second screen (Sony TV) whatever media player I am using instantly starts to lag/freeze/respond sluggishly. When on my main laptop screen they work fine, but the problems occur whenever I try and drag the screens across.

To my knowledge everything is up to date, the laptop is a very powerful Dell Inspiron on Windows 7 64bit. Geforce 650m drivers are up to date and both VLC & Media player classic are up to date.

Has anyone ever seen this before?

    Cheers guys

Video and chipset drivers are certainly the thing I would look at. If you do indeed have the latest ones installed try reverting to an older revision.

Does the same thing happen with e.g. Running a YouTube video on the second screen?

As its a laptop I'd always double check that it hasn't slipped into an energy saver mode and the processor is running full speed.
