One quick way is to press CTRL + Click on link or go to Tools - Options - Advanced and click the Select new tabs opened from links.
.:Main Computer:.
Abit NF7-s REV 2 :: AMD Athlon XP-m 2500 (200 X 11 = 2.2 ghz) :: 768 MB PC3200 :: 1 X 80GB Western Digital :: 1 X 40GB Western Digital Drive :: FX 5200 :: 768 MB PC3200 :: Chieftec Matrix Full tower case in Blue :: Intellemouse Optical 4 :: Icemat 2 Black :: Microsoft Office Keyboard :: 15" CRT
Or you can just click on the links with your middle mouse button, or wheel.
"Well, there was your Uncle Tiberius who died wrapped in cabbage leaves but we assumed that was a freak accident."

Just downloaded some awesome extensions from the mozilla site. An in-browser media player (supports iTunes, WMP, etc etc), a link preview, and a tool which lets you drag links to a blank area of page and auto opens in a new tab, it also lets you drag text and auto searches in google.
Brilliant. Im a Firefox convert!
How do I completely disable IE now?

Tabbed browsing can be forced to single window mode always with Tabbrowser Extensions here
It also has many other helpful addons and features for tabbed browsing.
thats a shame, already disabled it in add/remove progs. never mind. no biggy.
