Hi All,
Recently installed XP SP2 onto my machine (XP2600, nForce2 mobo, 1GB RAM), and it all seemed to work fine for a few days. Then I turn it on and wham - it constantly reboots. I originally blamed the power supply (see my thread in Hexus Help forum), but after doing a few web searches I reckon this is an unusual XPSP2 bug.
Has anybody else on here experienced this, and how can I revert to a per-SP2 status. I can't use recovery console as I get a 'BAD_POOL_CALLER' error whenever I try to do anything from the WinXP CD. Trying Last Known Good Config also fails, as does booting to safe mode.
I know it was dumb of me not to make any backups of hy HDD, as well as only having one partition with everything in it(believe me I've learnt my mistake), but I'd quite like not to have to reformat my HDD is possible.
Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated!
