    Talking I just joined UD

Have it installed and running. And my concience is warming as I speak. (Running cancer research only, rather sceptical of the other projects)

My only concern is that there are no additions to 'latest news' on grid.org since 2002. Is this just because there isn't news, or more worrying, the project is suffering a lack of interest?

Oh, and of course, I have joined the Hexus.net team

What is this? Is it like the seti program that uses CPU power to find ET's?

Also, what "other projects" are there?

EDIT: I thought I'd just download and see for myself - It's installing now.

OK, I've got it running now. It's done 25% in 15 mins. Is that good?

Also, I a little confused about the "other projects". I'd rather be doing something towards cancer research than smallpox, but it seems to be stuck on smallpox - how do I change it?

EDIT: I've just found out how to switch between projects, but if you have both ticked, will it do them both alternatly, or at the same time?

(sorry to keep asking questions! )

IIRC it will do them alternately.

One point to note though, any changes you make are not implemented until the next WU is commenced.

anyone checked the stats recently? Theres some new additions

Come on all you lurkers - use your spare cycles of processing power and help humans research cures etc. ( hell - just select the Cancer one if you want ) Lets see if we can get the hexus group as high as possible as 39 members out of 4,307 forum members is roughly a 0.905% signup of the forum I wonder if with a little help we can get this to at least 2% within a few weeks.

you know you want too - now wheres Skii's "we want you" poster post gone again

Sorry, I do Folding@Home. Part of Xtreme Resources team (3365), ranked 20th!

I've only added about 20 WU's so far though, but that's in a couple of weeks. Am still ranked 324/839 in our team!

No worries Allen, I too run Folding@home occasionally , its the people that only use their PC for web browsing & winamp & IRC ( yes... you know who you all are...) I'm appealing too.#

Come on folks lets make hexus the #1 on www.grid.org and also help a good cause in the process.

raaaaaah speech overwith - I'm off to have a mooch on the interweb
