    Windows 7 folder syncing?

Can anyone recommend some decent folder syncing software?

It seems they removed most of the stuff from Windows Sync in 7, I could do it in Vista

I just want to keep an external drive with music on synced with my local copy.

    Cheers!
    Paul.

Allway Sync is good for removable drives, because it is able to differentiate between different drives and can start to sync automatically, every time the associated hard drive is connected.

For drives that are connected all/most of the time I can recommend Cobian Backup.

Cheers. I think I've used it before but it left it's files in any directories that are synced rather than managing them centrally. It also isn't happy once you get past a certain number of files.

Doesn't really solve folder syncing on Windows 7 though.

You could use windows briefcase, I believe that allows for folder syncing.

    Cheers again folks.

I found SyncToy so I'm going to give that a try http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl....aspx?id=15155

SyncToy is nice, but it's not 100% robust. There was a recent issue where a Windows Update stopped it working on some systems and one had to reinstall various libraries to restart it. Perfectly do-able for the average techy, but worth being aware of.

Cheers. I've still not installed yet so I'll give it ago and cross my fingers
