    Duplicate File Finder

I'm looking for a program that can quickly and efficiently locate and list duplicate files, in terms of content, across multiple partitions (Having 300GB nearly filled doesn't help). All the programs I've come across so far are either too old, too slow, or too ugly. Any suggestions?

    Re: Duplicate File Finder

Windows Storage Server 2008 comes with a Single Instance Storage system that only stores it once but leaves it visible in all locations...

    Works nicely.

The speed will depend to some extent on how the app actually performs file comparisons - if it's calculating checksums rather than just comparing filenames/sizes/timestamps it will take much longer, but will be more accurate.

I've used Duplicate Cleaner to good effect - not sure it will meet with your aesthetic requirements, personally I couldn't give a tinker's cuss what it looks like as long as it gets the job done.

    Re: Duplicate File Finder

I'm guessing in the 6 years that have passed, the OP has probably found those duplicate files.
