    Question Best VPN

Seeing as my job now takes me to different countries a lot, (Germany next week, then straight to Japan for a week), what VPN software do you recomend? Was looking at openVPN.

    I use "The Greenbow":

    http://www.thegreenbow.com/vpn.html

very impressed by it. You can run it from a USB key if you want and it will create the VPN connection when you plug it in. Supports all sorts of authentication.

I need to log into my home PC & network from time to time to access files & data stored therein. Doesn't matter how much I cram on the lappy, I always forget something vital.

XP has a built in VPN server that'll be fine for a single user if your router supports VPN passthrough.

    Re: Best VPN

Hidemyass has been the only VPN that has allowed me to have continuous access to sites like facebook and netflix in China! All my friends have now changed to HMA VPN too.

    Re: Best VPN

Personally I'd suggest using a SSL based one if you plan on jumping onto public / hotel wifi points. Many don't allow / support ipsec / l2tp or other 'pro' VPN traffic. SSL loks like any other encrypted web page to them so they're less likely to block it.

    Bit old this thread, no?

I have been using Citrix Access Gateway (aka CAG 5 VPX) for about two years and not a single problem - totally awesome product!
