    Quick time logger type system

    Hi all,

I'd like to be able to quickly log work that I do during the day. I've tried web based this and that, as well as "project management" systems, but they are absolute overkill for what I need.

Ideally I am thinking I press a keyboard shortcut to make a window pop up. Said window will contain three boxes, duration, department and description. I fill in and move between fields be pressing the tab key and when I'm done I press enter, which makes the pop up disappear again.

Does something even remotely similar to that exist? At the very least it'd be nice to just press a keyboard short cut to have a notebox popup and I just fill it in as text.

Edit: To be clear, I am aware there are lots of clock in/out style apps. But I don't want to have to remember to clock in before I start, because I know full well I will forget!

    Ta!

I've found ResophNotes which is great for quickly taking notes, I think this might be the best one so far as it has loads of keyboard shortcuts

    For example I can go...
Ctrl + Shift + N to open a new note
Ctrl + Shift + U to input my note (duration, department and description)
Press Escape twice to exit out
    Done!
