    Problems with Asus AI Suite

I've been using the same version of AI suite on the same install of windows for a few months now. All of a sudden I've started to get weird warnings like CPu temp -58C, or 128C or VCore 0V or CPU fan 0rpm etc...

I thought the best way to fix this would be a reinstall, so I deep uninstalled it with revo, and used another program to delete the ASUS folder. After reinstalling, all is well but the Fan Xpert wont work - it shows a cant find x file error. I've tried multiple reinstalls (of the same version however) and nothing seems to be working.

Is my best bet to try a system restore to before the uninstall (although I'd probably still have the weird warnings) or would I be better off doing (yet another) Windows install?

Try clearing your CMOS and resetting your BIOS settings before reinstalling Windows. I've had the AI Suite do some really stupid things that have been fixed by doing this.

ASUS has a habbit of making pretty shoddy software IME, even though their hardware can be okay.

The clean install of windows probably wont help much, I redid mine recently and the Ai Suite still pops up randomly with warnings of 0V on the 5V supply, or 50V on the 12V supply. I generally ignore them, the other monitoring software I use doesn't throw up any warnings, and the Ai ones last for a second, if that. Plus if I really was putting 50V down the 12V supply, my Hdd would be producing the magic blue smoke again

But I thought the weird warnings was like a bug from the newest version?

I'll try resetting my BIOS. Is clearing CMOS that little blue cap thing?

Re: Problems with Asus AI Suite

It is a bug, I found this thread (http://rog.asus.com/forum/archive/in.../t-12951.html?) which seems to deal with the problem. Im in NL atm, so cant report if it works on mine, but I'll have a look as soon as I get back.

Clearing Cmos will either be that blue jumper, or a dedicated button on some boards. Should say on the board itself

Re: Problems with Asus AI Suite

I didn't see how it should, but clearing CMOS did nothing. If the weird warnings can be simply turned off, I might try a system restore after backing up a few things...
