I bought a blu-ray movie disc. however, i don't know how to watch it on my macbook?
Well, for a start does the Macbook have a BluRay reader ?
Install Windows.
There is no native Bluray software for OSX. Personally I format shift using MakeMKV and then use Plex.
Macbooks do not ship with Bluray drives, so I assume you have an external USB one.
You can do it but you need the hardware to play the disc and software to watch it - MacWorld article here
http://www.macblurayplayer.com works fine with an external bluray drive
the MacBook doesn't have a blu-ray reader so you'll need an external device to read it
The Mac system don't read blu-ray movies by default, If you stick to use your MacBook to watch it, you may get a blu-ray player or rip them to a Mac-readable format like mp4 or mov.
I have used AppGeeker Blu-ray Ripper for a while now, It, supposedly, can rip DVDs/Blu-ray discs and convert to common formats.
