    Scheduled tasks

I realise that Windows scheduler can start programs at certain times of the day/night but how can you get certain programs to do the business!
For example, there is no provision on Spybot or Lavasoft Adaware to start scanning and removing parasites when the program is opened.

I don't use Adaware any more, but for Spybot, if you check Help/Help and look under Command Line Options/Main Application you can see (amongst other options):

    Code:
    /autoupdate
Does an update after starting the program.

    /autocheck
    Starts scanning immediately.

    /autofix
    Fixes problems after scan.

    /autoclose
Closes program after it has scanned or updated.

    /autoimmunize
Runs the immunization at program start.
I've just set up a scheduled task for 7:30 every morning with the following command line:
    "C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\SpybotSD.exe" /autoupdate /autoimmunize /autocheck /autofix /autoclose

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for the command line set up for Spybot. I have all my programs stored on "D". I changed the path to "D" but it says path not found.
Am I correct in thinking this can be accessed from an internal comamnd (run CMD on XP)?
Do i need to move Spybot from the D to the root of C?

    Thanks

Do a search on D: for "spybotsd.exe" and it will show you the correct path, if you chose a non-standard location then it may not even be under "Program Files"... it could just be "D:\Spybot - Search & Destroy\SpybotSD.exe".

I can't honestly remember if I used the default, I often change the paths of programs when installing to be meaningful and/or non-default for security.
