    Ubuntu Linux

    hey guys,

I don't post much on here! but i thought i would let you know about UBUNTU LINUX, this may have been posted before, but if not, then i am the first
This has to be one of the smartest distro's i've used, based on Deb' it's dead easy to install and get running (even for beginners) - in terms of use, it's quick (i am using the AMD 64 version), it has Synaptic and all the usual toys as well as openoffice, thunderbird and firefox.. If you fancy a break from the norm, get it! you won't be dissapointed.. You can also get the discs for free (inc. free shipping).
Hope you like it as much as i do...

Hell, I'll give it a go. Will be nice to try something easier than FreeBSD, which is being a pain at the mo.

    Found a review on NewsForge
    Review: Should you do Ubuntu?
    http://www.newsforge.com/article.pl?.../10/12/1421241

Ubuntu Linux is a new Debian-based distro sponsored by Canonical Ltd. I
spent a week using Ubuntu and came away impressed, despite some of its
    obvious teething pains.
    for interested parties.
