    Public Domain Icons

I need some free icons to use in a program I'm devving.

It's stock control related... sales, deliveries, etc.

Any decent sites out there? Half the ones I find are just spammy spammy advert rubbish.

    Cheers,
    Steve.

use icons from an open-source project? the artwork is usually covered by the GPL, as long as you license the icons separately from the main software (and don't build them in, such that they can be replaced), it should be fine...

deviantart has some nice icons, though check the copyright terms on their use, if this is for a piece of software

For the record it's non-commercial and won't be distributed. It's for a college project and while the icons themselves are not significant in the sense that they don't need to be my work... I'd rather they be public domain.

They aren't the best icons in the world but how about these:

Or something from a GTK theme?
