    SP2 blocking my units??

I've recently updated windows to Service Pack 2, and it seems that my SETI units cannot now be sent or recieved at my PC
I'm assuming it's a simple change of setting that SP2 has caused on my PC, but I don't really know where to start looking.

Anyone else had this proeblem, or know how it can be resolved without me having to go thru the frustration of my ISP or Microsoft technical "help" line??

I'm still crunching units, but won't be able to send any completed ones until I get this sorted.

BTW, I've just realised that if this thread should have been in the "HEXUS Operating Systems and Applications" section, please feel free to move it.

Not had that problems, but this might fix it:

Go into the firewall options and add the SETI program to the 'exceptions' list.

Went in to file exceptions, clicked on File & Printer Sharing (but not really knowing if that would make a difference)... and one reboot later it seems to be working again.
...so Team Hexus will continue to benefit from my contributions

Cheers for the advice too, Atomic!!

Did you turn on file and printer sharing?

I didn't have any problem with Seti when I intalled SP2 btw.
