Print Monitoring Software

Hi Guys!

I’m looking for some sort of print manager software at this company I’m contracting for they have issues with people printing to much and being a little carefree so to speak. They asked me if I knew of any software, shareware or the fully monty…

So have you guys come across anything?

The company I work for use a product called print accounting server (PAS) from a company called Equitrac for doing print auditing before trying to flog them printers and copiers.

I think you can get a month's trial which could be long enough to find out who's printing what.

i'm not getting paid for this if that is where you are coming from, i'm getting paid to clean up the pc's the bossman just asked me as i have a whole host of free shareware progs on my pen drive... he wondered if i had any print stuff... i said "i will ask on hexus" end of story

look it really does not bother me, i was just trying to help out someone who asked!! i don't wanna play silly buggers with you... and i don't want my boss using the same forums as me.

You can also try Here . It is a nice simple logger which adds a line to a text file with all the relevant info every time something is printed. It can be run as a service using the MSdev tools and works nicely. Free for non-profit, not sure how much for profit usage.
