Hi guys,
I hope this is the right sub-forum (couldn't see any other that had a better fit)
Ive started looking into this so haven't exhausted my list of Google results, but thought I might get a solution (tried and tested!) quicker by posting here.
This is my scenario:
I have 6 iMacs placed around the building which need to have video content played on them.
I have 1 'server' mac that will host the content centrally
All 6 iMacs can connect/talk to the server and vice-versa.
What I need to do is find a way (if there even is one - if its not, I can propose other ways round this) to get this 1 server mac to stream video out to the 6 macs simultaneously without having to remote onto each of them and tell it to play this video from the server.
Currently, if you use VLC to stream over network using SAP you have to go to each of the 6 macs and double click that stream to play.
Is there any way (VLC or other software) to just use 1 machine/Mac to get video to mimic to the 6 iMacs?
I hope that was clear enough.
Let me know if you need anything else.
