    Windows 7 installing

    Hey

Is it possible to uninstall Windows 7 from one hard drive whilst on windows 7 on another hard drive?

Or will this lead to broken links and chaos.. I don't particularly want to reformat 1TB of data just to remove the OS from it, but i want to install Windows 7 to my new SSD.

Could you just plug in the SSD and unplug the HDD (with win 7) install win 7 to the SDD then plug the HDD back in, change around boot order in BIOS.

The HDD should just read as data you can remove the Windows install files later.

    Works in my head,

Yeh that would work but i would still have W7 on the old drive which i want to uninstall but i don't think W7 disc has a simple uninstaller.

When you're installed on your new disk just nuke everything but your data folders on the other drive.
