I have a oem copy of windows xp which I have just installed on my new shuttle system and I cannot register itas my computer cannot connect to the internet using my adsl connection and when I rang Microsoft no one answered the phone.

I've done this a few times with no hassles.Microsoft always answered within seconds and XP registered within 5 mins.Are you sure you're using the right phone no?There was a thread about this a couple of months ago as well.I'll see if I can hunt it out.

I am using the number that comes up on the screen plus you get all the automated garbage saying it is microsoft but the automated registration does not work and I could not get through to a CSR.

weird - everytime I have rang them in the past I have got through straight away to some rather nice sounding ladies as well who we're polite, chatty and as soon as I told them where I worked and what I do they just laugh and say " another upgrade/test is it " and gimme the code
