    Simple Linux Firewall

Now being a complete Linux novice I'd like to know if there's a linux equivalent of Zonealarm? I'm no techie so I would like to know if there's a Linux equivalent that's as easy to use & set up.

    on a linux desktop ?

not that I've heard of. A more conventional use would be to have another box running something like smoothwall/ipcop or clarkconnect.

I'll give it a whirl ta.

Let's face it, it's the fiddlyness of Linux that keeps it off the desktops of the world. Or maybe we're far too ingraned in the 'Windows way'.
