Can I get Windows Home Server to backup several PC's simultaneously?

If I ask WHS to back up several PC's at once, does it queue them?
    Cos it seems too?

And if so, can I get it to do several at once?

The WHS has a quad in it and a gigbit network port, going to a gigbit port on my Draytek, and all the PC's are plugged into 100mbit ports so it shouldn't flood.

I'd have thought it can only do one at a time because of the way the backup system works. Quad in your WHS? Slight overkill but nice!

Uuuuh, my WHS was a 2GB Atom. Worked fine.

I say "was" because I wanted to do more with it than WHS could do - it was a very lonesome server, as WHS doesn't like to play with other programs and often throws a wobbly in the form of random things just stopping working.

    Hi,
In response to OP: WHS effectively queues all Client's. There is no way to actually backup more than one system at a time.
Regarding not working with other programs, don't forget that there are very few programs that even know what mount points are, let alone Drive Extender. The easiest way is to have a working drive outside the drive pool where any non-WHS work is done, that way it isn't grabbed by the driver extender filter and migrator service.

anther thing to watch out for when doing backups with WHS is to ensure that you have allocated enough time for the backups to complete because if you haven't the backups won't be done. I ran into the problem when I had 5 machines doing backups but I had only allocated a 2 hour slot in which the backups could be done, result was 1 machine didn't get backup up. Good news was that it flagged it hadn't been done straight away.
